Government Grant Scheme
The EV chargepoint grant
It provides funding of up to 75% towards the cost of installing electric vehicle smart chargepoints at domestic properties across the UK. It replaced the Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme (EVHS) on 1 April 2022. The Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) is a voucher-based scheme that provides eligible applicants with support towards the upfront costs of the purchase and installation of electric vehicle (EV) chargepoints. After an applicant applies, EVolt Energy will claim the grant on their behalf.
EV Infrastructure grant
An EV infrastructure grant gives you money off the cost of wider building and installation work that’s needed to install multiple chargepoint sockets. The work can be for sockets you want to install now and in the future. For example, an EV infrastructure grant can cover things like wiring and posts. You can get up to £30,000 or 75% off the cost of the work. The amount depends on how many parking spaces the work covers. You can get up to 30 infrastructure grants each financial year. Each infrastructure grant must be used for a different property.

We had a Zappi battery charger installed by Alex and Nick from Evoltenergy. They were very professional in their approach and knowledgeable about the product. The charger was neatly installed and the place was left clean and tidy when they left.

Superb experience and reasonably priced. Alex gave me great advice, was flexible to install my EV charger quickly whilst working around my schedule. He spend time with me to set up my Tesla app to ensure everything was tested and operational before he left. Very happy with the service!
